The battle lines have been drawn and soon the battle will commence with three of the major players releasing new handsets. Apple has recently launched its new iPhone 4S which has sold phenomenally well, but as expected new bugs have also been introduced. Microsoft has already released Windows phone 7.5 Mango, but has made little impact with HTC’s handsets. Now Nokia are to release its new handsets, with the Lumia 800 being described as the first real Windows phone hoping to revive its fortunes. Samsung are to launch Google’s new flagship handset, Nexus Prime running the new Android OS 4.0, ice cream sandwich.
All three handsets have generally disappointed specs wise but this allows the new OS to shine.
CNET compares all three handsets and helps you decide which one maybe for you. Another comparison can be found here.
Apple has confirmed the battery drain issue plaguing the new iPhone 4S is related to its new iOS5. This has also been seen on iPhone 4 running the new OS too, so it is not hardware related. Apple have said a fix is on its way and iOS 5.0.1 has been seen to fix a number of bugs too and improve performance.
